- 2 cups plant milk of choice (we use soy or oat)
- 1 pear quartered and seeded (can use frozen)*
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/8 tsp cardamom
*Fresh ingredients you need that are not part of our pantry and freezer tips.
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to your blender.
- Pulse a few times to break down the frozen fruit.
- Blend until smooth.
- Taste and adjust as desired!
Notes
*Approximate Cost: CAD $4.40 ($2.20/serving) vs. $4 – $6 each for a smoothie out.
*Feel free to use fresh banana and/or blueberries, the smoothie will just be less cold and frosty. You can add ice in addition to the other ingredients or start with 1 cup milk, 1 cup ice and add more milk if it is needed to help the smoothie blend.
*If you don’t have cardamom you could try subbing with cinnamon for a bit of extra flavour and antioxidant power!
*Different pear varieties will produce slightly different flavours and textures. We have tried both Bartlett and Bosc and both work well!
