Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 1 cup raw whole almonds
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (or liquid sweetener of choice)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
- 1/4 tsp salt
*All the ingredients for this recipe are from our pantry and freezer tips!
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and prepare a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.
- Place the raw almonds in a bowl and coat in the seasonings.
- When the oven is hot, spread the almonds in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 7 minutes. Remove the tray, stir the almonds around to coat them in any excess seasoning, spread into a single layer again (they will start to harden and get a little sticky so you’ll have to move a little quickly) and return the almonds to the oven for an additional 3 minutes.
- Remove and allow to cool fully on the baking tray so they don’t clump together as they harden. When dry, store in an air-tight container on the counter for up to 1 week or in the fridge for longer storage.
