Description

Tahini makes the creamiest oatmeal ever! Try this simple maple tahini oatmeal for a delicious breakfast to get you ready for your day.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup oats
  • 2 cups water
  • Sprinkle of salt
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 4 deglet noor dates, pitted and chopped
  • 1 sliced banana*
  • 1/2 tbsp flax seed or chia seeds (optional)

*Fresh ingredients you need that are not part of our pantry and freezer tips.


Instructions

  1. Add oats, water and a pinch of salt to a small pot. Bring to a boil and reduce to a low simmer.
  2. Stir in tahini, maple syrup, chopped dates, sliced banana and any seeds you’re adding.
  3. Cook, stirring, for 1-2 minutes until the oatmeal is creamy, the excess liquid is absorbed, and your desired consistency has been reached.
  4. Top with any remaining banana, toasted sesame seeds, and any additional toppings you love.
