Description

It’s a classic for a reason! This dairy-free strawberry banana smoothie recipe is sweet, creamy & refreshing. The perfect summer smoothie!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 frozen bananas (or fresh)
  • 3 cups frozen strawberries (or fresh)
  • 1 cup oat milk (or plant milk of choice)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

*All the ingredients for this recipe are from our pantry and freezer tips!

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients to your blender.
  2. Pulse a few times to break down the frozen fruit and the ice cubes.
  3. Then blend until smooth!
  4. This smoothie will keep well in the fridge for a couple of days.

Notes

Approximate Cost: CAD $4.84 ($2.42/smoothie) using strawberries purchased from our wholesale store. If we purchase strawberries out of season from our local grocery store our price can increase to CAD $7.19 ($3.60/smoothie) vs. at least $4 for a smoothie purchased out.

If using both frozen banana and strawberries, you can replace the 1 cup of ice with extra milk for a less frosty, creamier texture. Alternatively, if using all fresh fruit you can replace the one cup plant milk with extra ice to create that frosty texture.
