Perfect for dipping
Drizzling over refreshing salads
Or taking your summery burgers to the next level!

Ingredients For Mango Chili Sauce

If you guessed mango and chilies... you're right!

To make 1 cup of this sauce we use:

  • Half of a fresh ripe mango
  • Fresh ginger (or frozen, if you're like me and store ginger in the freezer!)
  • Lime juice
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Maple syrup
  • And chili garlic sauce (or a fresh red Thai chili, sliced, and deseeded)

*If you don't have apple cider vinegar you could try adding more lime or lemon juice in its place or use another slightly sweet vinegar like rice or white wine vinegar.

Recipe Cost

The cost of this sauce will mostly depend on how much mangoes cost for the time of year and where you are located. But...

This recipe typically costs us around: CAD $0.70.
Depending on the price of mangoes it can cost up to: CAD $1.42.

Even at the higher end of the price range... an incredibly tasty, sweet, and spicy sauce for less than CAD $1.50? Yes please!

Serving Suggestions

Serve this easy mango chili sauce with fresh rolls! These are such a great appetizer for a gathering or a light and summery lunch.

If you've perused our salad recipes you may have read that I'm not the biggest fan of salads... I tend to need some convincing to sit down to a bowl of lettuce. BUT... if that convincing comes in the form of a fun and tasty sauce like this one? Count me in! Drizzle this sauce over Thai inspired or citrus salads.

Even use this sauce in place of ketchup on a grilled eggplant burger or other summery creation!

The possibilities are endless! Let us know in the comments below how you use this easy, sweet, and spicy mango chili sauce!
